The common B.Com pattern is three quiet months followed by three panicked weeks. The fix is not more hours — it is starting the numerical papers early.
Rank your papers honestly
Separate the papers that need daily practice (accounting, costing, financial management) from those that need structured revision (theory and management papers). The first group must start in week one.
A weekly rhythm
- Four sessions a week on numerical papers.
- Two sessions on theory papers, written in answer form.
- One weekly review of everything covered so far.
Use previous-year papers early
University patterns repeat far more than students expect. Reading past papers in the first month tells you which topics deserve depth.
Protect the last two weeks
Reserve them entirely for revision and timed practice. Anything not learned by then is unlikely to be learned well.
