Students studying commerce outside India, or under an international curriculum, often find the concepts familiar but the presentation unfamiliar — and lose marks for reasons that have nothing to do with understanding.
Learn the terminology map
Statement of financial position, income statement, receivables, payables — many of these are simply different names for items you already know. Write your own two-column glossary early in the course.
Follow your own paper's format
Prepared formats vary between curricula. Always practise using the format your own examiner expects, taken from your prescribed material and past papers.
Manage the time zone realistically
If you are taking tuition from another country, fix a weekly slot that you can genuinely keep for months. Irregular sessions across time zones are the main reason progress stalls.
Ask for explanation in your stronger language
Understanding a concept in Hindi and then writing it in formal English is perfectly valid, and often faster than struggling in one language throughout.
Classes for international students are scheduled around your time zone. Book a free demo to check availability.
